The CEO of digital marketing company Marr International makes a response to Google most recent algorithm change that will effect real estate websites.

Yesterday Google announced that it has made changes to how it evaluates links to websites and the inference is that links that contain keywords i.e. “Florida real Estate” may now be useless or possibly detrimental.

The announcement was as follows:

"Link evaluation. We often use characteristics of links to help us figure out the topic of a linked page. We have changed the way in which we evaluate links; in particular, we are turning off a method of link analysis that we used for several years. We often rearchitect or turn off parts of our scoring in order to keep our system maintainable, clean and understandable"

This announcement came along with an unprecedented 40 other algorithm changes. Nick Marr CEO digital marketing agency Marr International “ Google is trying to stop manipulation of the search engine result pages.  The industry has seen the growth of robots that can generate thousands of links artificially promoting a website.
