Ex-American Idol and X-Factor judge Paula Abdul is set to be selling her Californian home, reports TMZ television.  The $1.9 million property – relatively modest for a celebrity home – boasts five bedrooms and has been the star’s home since 2000.

However, the property has been called ‘cursed’ due to a series of bizarre events over the years.  So, will Abdul be able to sell her ‘bad luck’ property?

Abdul to sell ‘cursed’ home for $1.9 million

Abdul’s home in Sherman Oaks has been called ‘cursed’ which may make it a difficult sale for realtors.  A crazed fan killed himself outside the house before another woman slipped and fell in the driveway and sued the former cheerleader for $900,000.

The Examiner reports that ‘even the police showed up leery and with guns drawn when they responded to a security alarm call back in December of 2011.’

Even Perez Hilton has joked that Paula should just tell people to shut up about the curse in order that she may be able to sell the great little property.

Abdul set to make tidy profit on the sale

The Mediterranean property was built in 2000 and features a grand entry with a double staircase.  The LA Times also reports that the property boasts French doors opening to patio and pool areas, five bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms.  Abdul paid $1.285 million for the property twelve years ago. And so is set to make a tidy profit on the sale.

The property sits on a quarter of an acre in Sherman Oaks.

Abdul was recently fired from X Factor, the show created by her old Idol nemesis Simon Cowell after formerly appearing alongside Cowell on American Idol.  Cowell also fired host Steve Jones and fellow judge Nicole Scherzinger.
