Year after year, European ski enthusiasts get to the same conclusion: the French Alps are home to some of the most varied resorts in the world, which makes them the best choice for this winter! With its plethora of high-altitude stellar resorts, France features an amazing variety of choices whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced skier. If you are lucky enough to own your own ski property in France, then you won't have to bother booking a place well in advance. However, most holiday makers already have their winter ski holiday booked, as the French slopes are some of the busiest in Europe.

Serre Chevalier is one of the best resorts for intermediate skiers, comprising of twelve splendid villages under one already well-known name. Chevalier is home to 250 km of great slopes, served by no less than 62 lifts. Smaller and less modern than other French resorts, this offers the perks of a friendlier and quieter place where you can practice your passion and take in the picturesque landscape.

One of the best resorts for celeb spotting, Courchevel is famous for its excellent slopes; plus,  it caters for skiers of all levels. Tempting, right? The highest point is 2738m through Saulire, showcasing a striking scenery that you won't forget very soon. The best thing about Courchevel is that it's a great place to bring your kids and spend some quality family-time while skiing on some the most well-groomed pistes in Europe.

Attracting more British skiers than any other French resort, Val d'Isere is a superb resort ideal for advanced skiers. If you're up for some lively buzz, head over to the centre of the resort, where you can find the Solaise and Bellevarde lifts, which will take you to more serene peaks such as the stunning Le Fornet. We're telling you a little secret, though: you don't really need to be an advanced skier to enjoy Val, as it's also suitable for intermediates!

So, that's it! Good luck planning your exciting ski holiday!
