Brazil´s Luxury Market Attracts High End Manufacturers

Zero to 100km/hour (0-60) in 2.9 seconds, Just R$ 2.8M (US $ 1.55 Million)

São Paulo, SP-Super-nifty stocking stuffers are available to smart shoppers here as Automobili Lamborhini officially enters the Brazilian market  simultaneously launching its latest supercar, Aventador LP 700-4, just in time for Christmas. And it seems the Christmas season is already a success with seven of the R$ 2.8 Million cars sold even before arriving here, giving the new venture initial sales of R$19.6Million.

 

Company president Stephen Winkelman said he expects to double that figure before the end of the current holiday season, by year end 2011. The first car of the initial seven is to be delivered still in November.


 

The Aventador LP 700-4 is the sixth generation of supercars by Lamborghini. The new model can accelerate from a standing start and reach 100 km/hr. in 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 320 km/hr-192 mph-thanks to a V-12 6.5 liter motor making 700 horse power in all new coach work of light weight carbon fiber “We faced the challenge of developing a design that was revolutionary but at the same time would be identifiable with the brand,” said Winkelmann.
