Work is beginning on the new GlennconnerBeach project that is being constructed on the Caribbean Island of St. Lucia. The new development is under the direction of Colin Tennant, Lord Glenconner. Once a regular fixture in British society, Lord Glenconner has had other successful development projects. Most notably, he turned the private Caribbean island of Mustique into a popular playground for the rich and famous and managed to attract, among others, Mick Jagger, Princess Margaret and David Bowie to an exclusive resort.
Glenconner Beach is a small project that entails six five bedroom villas and one six bedroom villa. Each home will range in size from 5,800 square feet, or 539 square meters, to 8,300 square feet or 771 square meters. Prices range from US$7 million to $12 million. Each villa has gorgeous views of the Pitons and the beach, and provides direct access to both the water and the mountains.
The homes are located between the Pitons, St. Lucia’s famous twin peaks on the southwest coast of the island. The properties are located in a UNESCO World Heritage site, so there is little chance of over development ever occurring here. Next door is The Tides Sugar Beach, a five-star resort and spa. Owners at GlenconnerBeach can enjoy the best the Caribbean has to offer in true high style.
