Marcali is a nice city where you will find all the chain stores such as Lidl, Aldi and Tesco. There is also a nice (thermal) swimming pool. The somewhat larger city is Keszthely. Known for the cozy center and the castle. Here too many shops and opportunities for shopping. Just next to Keszthely you will find Hévíz (30 km) known for its thermal lake. Lake Balaton can be reached from Somogysámson in 20 km. You are then in Balatonmariafürdo, but there are several nice Balaton towns with many beaches.
