The larger towns nearby are Ózd (14 minutes), the town of Miskolc (50 minutes) or Kazincbarcika (30 minutes). In Miskolc all major chain stores, sports clubs, cinema etc. and in Kazincbarcika a beach with pool. The caves of Aggtelek (20 km) are well worth a visit and Szilvásvárad (22 km) is known for its horses and a walk through the waterfall area. Certainly an environment in which you do not have to be bored.
