The cabin is built in retro style (closely mimicking old hunting lodges of AustroHungarian nobility that were once popular around these parts), yet is otherwise fully modern, built in 2005 from the ground up. A woodshed & a hunting tower are part of the estate. Everything inside is new, from the furniture, electricity, plumbing, fireplace mimics a cabin,but it actually a fully furnished house next to a forest. The house itself is 100 square meters, while 2000 square meters of land belongs to the house as well (in untouched nature, together with meadows, pine trees, oak trees ... all of which are at your disposal to use). 

My cabin is located at 830 meters above sea-level in that special area where civilization meets nature. There are dense forests as well as meadows all around it, perfect for busy city folk who want to hear chirping of birds instead of sirens for a few days. A small town with stores is within walking distance and a bigger town (Litija) in the valley. From there it's just 25 minutes to reach the capital Ljubljana. 

This location is not for those who are into nightlife and bustling metropolises. It's a peaceful, semi-secluded place. Sure the capital of Slovenia is relatively near as well as some larger towns with reasonable nightlife activity, but if you want that, there are places that are closer to the action.

The house is situated near a small village called Polšnik, which has a local convenient store as well as a town church. The area is hilly and densely packed with forest as well as a fair amount of meadows. It's peaceful enough, but if you miss civilization it's just a short drive downhill to two larger towns - Litija (and the capital city Ljubljana about 25 kilometers further).
