With its breath taking natural scenery, welcoming culture, stunning beaches, and low cost of living, Spains' reputation as a place to holiday and live has steadily risen over the past few decades. The apartment is on the lower level in a complex of 100 apartments surrounding a shared pool with underground parking (secure entrance with electronic key). This particular apartment has a balcony spanning the width of the apartment with access from patio doors in living area and master bedroom. The balcony looks out on to countryside, facing south and creates a peaceful environment to enjoy the high number of days of sunshine in the Murcia region.



Murcia produces incredible volumes of oranges, lemons and many other crops. We loved the tranquility of the village while also providing us with quick access to the region's local highlights whenever we wanted. The master bedroom has an ensuite with bath and shower while the second bathroom has a walk in shower. The white kitchen is well equipped and we loved the semi open plan feel which meant you could be cooking or preparing meals whilst also chatting over the breakfast bar and looking out at the view from the balcony. The village has a popular cafe/bar as well as bakery, small supermarket, petrol station and restaurant.



Los Alcazares is 10 minutes away by car which offers 7 kilometres of sandy beaches and a vast array of dining options. Water sports are on offer including kayaking, wake boarding, sailing and jet skis. The sea water at Los Alcazares is particularly warm as it lies of the Mar Menor, with the La Manga strip forming a semi boundary. This creates a warmer, safer expanse of water to enjoy. There are life guards, volleyball, outdoor gyms or just plenty days to relax and enjoy yourself.



A stylish prominade lines the length of the beach, meaning you can enjoy regular strolls or cycling easily while enjoying the view. There are of course plenty bars to enjoy here from traditional Spanish to irish and a few nightclubs if desired. Los Alcazares has no high rise buildings on the coast and retains its charm very well. Cartagena to the south is a beautiful city about 20 minutes away with excellent shopping facilities and a port as well as stunning architecture.



Again, the dining options are plentiful. For those who play golf there are plenty options in this area too. A favourite coastal village of ours was Cabo de Palos to the south. As a fishing hub the seafood is excellent and it offers beautiful coves for snorkeling or scuba diving. We thoroughly enjoyed the slow pace of life in the village as well as the vibrancy of local destinations. Alicante is one hour away and the new Corvera airport is 30 minutes away.







About the Area





Cartagena is a port city and naval base in the Murcia region of southeast Spain. Founded by the Carthaginians around 220 B.C., the city boomed during the Roman period. Among its many Roman ruins are a 1st-century B.C. theater and Casa de la Fortuna, a villa with murals and mosaics. The Muralla Punica (Punic Wall) interpretation center houses the remains of a 3rd-century B.C. defensive wall.



The port of Cartagena, in the Mediterranean's Costa Calida, has been prized since Carthaginian times. Thanks to its strategic position on the Murcia coast, it has been inhabited by several cultures which have left their mark on its artistic heritage.
