Corralejo is a stunning Canarian town situated in the north of the Fuerteventura that enjoys the perfect balance between tourism and local life. In the town there are many shops, bars and restaurants, with foods ranging from traditional local Canarian fare with fabulous meats, cheeses and local fish, along with other more mouth-watering opportunities to discover. There are many supermarkets in the town as well as other specialist food shops, some supermarkets are open 7 days a week. There are also different boats that offer boat excursion service, deep-sea fishing, catamaran and water taxi service, as well as line boats for the transfer to the island of Lobos of 6km2.
It was one of the first natural spaces of the Canary Islands to be protected next to the Dunes of Corralejo of 16km2 of golden sand and very extensive beaches. Both received the denomination of Natural Park in the year 1982.
