Can Ribes is a farmhouse on the edge of the A-7 motorway that goes from Barcelona to La Jonquera, on the southern slope of a hill near the confluence of the Vallformes stream with the Mogent river in the municipality of Cardedeu (Valles Oriental) protected as a cultural asset of local interest.

According to Tomas Balvey, who cites Can Ribes but does not place it specifically in time, he considers it to be an incredibly old farmhouse. No historical references are known but it is believed that she was probably known by another name. Some architectural elements, such as the defence tower and the canopy arched windows, place the building in the 16th century. it is very possible that with the reforms of 1610 the process of transformation of the old farmhouse, possibly with a basilica floor plan, into the current one began. We can see the inscription of the date 1610 on the lintel of the east corner window. According to Balvey it was burned during the French War in the early nineteenth century, like many others. in 1898 it became a summer residence, although the estate continued to be cultivated, and it is at this time that the western garden, with romantic traces, is probably projected. An important part of the property was expropriated for the construction of the A-7 freeway. From the photographic documentation we know that in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries the defence tower was covered with the same slope of the roof, its date of reconstruction with the current battlements is unknown.
