Property Details

in terms of a sound investment, Aramis Ranch (including neighbouring land) is unique in that it benefits from such rural surroundings, together with the educational establishment permit in place.

Both owners are happy to remain involved and supportive should the new owner wish to continue with their view of an equine assisted learning centre. Both have good knowledge of the property; one owner is well versed in iT and is able to support with promotion and marketing and au fait with the Maltese ways of doing things. The other owner is very experienced in horsemanship and takes a therapeutic and holistic approach to horsemanship. Having trained in the UK, she is very experienced and skilled.

in terms of the investment meeting the relocation requirements for Malta, the business plan for the equine centre will work well in terms of foreign investment in Malta.

There is also a charitable element, where the owner has already sourced her own information around working with orphans and having them spend 1/2 days with the horses under her instruction and care and the possibility of using the premises as part of the Community Payback for existing prisoners has also been looked at to see how viable this is. Both of these propositions encourage a charitable and humanitarian element to the proposal.

The property can be enjoyed as a residence, but is also listed as an educational establishment and can be used both as residential accommodation for students, or as a family home where the business is run from.

There is a reservoir within the grounds, this has a permit to allow it to become a POND. This permit is better than a pool permit as the reservoir is 8ft deep so remains a lot cooler. it will need developing to become a pond if to be used for relaxing or swimming in. Permits can be obtained to make it into a pool, but do exist for a pond.

There are indoor stables that are separated to the office via a temporary gypsum wall. This can all be made into a large open plan space or, due to the windows being placed well, this can make 2 separate small residences that could sleep 4-6 persons with a shared living area and kitchen facilities.

Three options by which foreign nationals can enter Malta to set up business and the benefits therein.

The bigger plan for Aramis Ranch as a business opportunity:

Class 2C permit allows premises to be used as educational institution.

ideal for:

Equine Assisted Learning Centre providing:

* Respite for children/adults with learning or physical disabilities - on-site residential premises to allow residential stays with the holistic therapeutic approach - sufficient accommodation to support parents who also may wish to stay - benefits may be that both UK and Malta government are able to support residential therapy with funding

* Scholarship - There are currently no riding schools in Malta that are subject to ongoing monitoring, therefore Maltese children will not be recognized when they have exceptional horsemanship skills - a scholarship would remedy this, plus this could be offered to overseas students who would make use of the school for a fee - benefits for this is that it will encourage support of Maltese government, which works with Maltese Citizenship for exceptional Services by investment

* Competitions - currently no gymkhanas, dressage competitions held in Malta - benefits of bringing foreign investment using Aramis Ranch to hold such events, including the invitation of foreign riders and their horses to compete
