The nearest beach is in Pescara which is 40 km or 30 mins away. At about 10 km there are ski slopes where you can ski with a sea view.



Abbateggio is located just 1 km from the historic centre of Roccamorice and a few km to the thermal spa and tourist town of Caramanico Terme. The Majella National Park is home to Valle Giumentina, known for the Palaeolithic archaeological site and huts in dry stone called Tholos where the shepherds would take shelter. There are many local restaurants where one can sample the renowned food and wine of Abruzzo with one excellent restaurant in the village.
