The Bükk National Park is also 20 minutes away. Great environment for walking, mountain biking and hiking, or just enjoying nature. There is Bánkút where there is a ski area. For more skiing pleasure, Slovakia is not far away and you can already be in a ski resort in a 2-hour drive.

In less than an hour you can drive to the city of Eger with a pleasant centre and the castle and Basilica are certainly worth a visit. The other way is the city of Miskolc and that is also an hour away.
