The village of Riousse is very close ( 5 kilometers) to another village called St Pierre le Moûtier which is halfway between Nevers (department Niêvre, in Burgundy) and Moulins (department Allier, in Auvergne. At Saint Pierre le Moutier is the access road to various motorways, heading north towards Paris and also direction South of France.  Paris is 2 hours' drive from Riousse. The town of Nevers which is 20 minutes' drive has a train station. From here Paris can be reached within two hours. Trains heading towards the south of France also leave from Nevers.
