ABOUT THE AREA

Although the address is sited as Juillac, the nearest village is Flaujagues, it is a quiet village occupying an idyllic riverside location and home to a restaurant with an excellent chef, a cafe bar, post office, boulanger and well-stocked shop, all within 10 minutes walk from the house. Several large supermarkets/hypermarkets are within a 10-15 minute drive.

There are many local fetes and festivities throughout Summer - the night markets in the local surrounding villages are not to be missed. Local wines and food stalls, to be consumed on the long trestle tables along with market stalls and often live music to listen to or dance, children always welcome.

This is a great area for those who like to explore, cycling is very popular in this area, lots of local walks and canoeing/kayaking is also very popular and available locally in the village of Pessac. Tennis courts can be found close
