Another little known factor about our area is the glorious viticulture here. French people from Paris retire to this area specifically because of its renowned wines. The most famous being Chinon, Bourgeuil, Vouvray Montlouis, Saumur and Sancerre. Wine-tasting tours abound here.

Lyon is the gastronomic capital of France and is about 3 hours away by car.
