About the lake

Featuring many bays and peninsulas, Villedon's 86,5 acres (35 Ha) is fed by the river Blour, a constant source of fresh, aerated water. At the opposite end to the river is a large dam behind which you will find all the facilities that the venue has to offer. They include a restaurant, sanitation facilities, a tackle shop, camping place and accommodation. The lakebed is fairly flat and comprises mainly sand with gravel patches and a covering of silt. There are no notable snags and little weed growth. Depths varies from 1 meter at the river entrance to around 4-5 meters at the dam end.

The lake has an 'eau close' status, meaning that the contents of the lake belong to its owner, even though a small river runs through it. The lake bottom is very sane due to regular drain downs of the lake. it is easy to drain down and very rich in natural food for fish, so it can naturally produce tons of fish per year in reproduction if desired.
