PROPERTY OVERViEW

With its glorious warm climate and areas of outstanding natural beauty, it is little wonder that Costa Rica's reputation as a fantastic place to live continues to grow. On offer here, is a chance for someone to experience this mesmerising part of the world by investing in these excellent plots.

Known as Grand View Estates and located in the beautiful Siquirres district of the Limon province, these fantastic plots are set out over 12,500 and 11,200 square metres of lush, private land in a gated community. The land is strategically placed to be peaceful and quite but close to essential amenities like supermarkets, medical centres, restaurants and bars in the nearby town. The area is also just a short drive (45 mins approx.) to many of the area's spectacular beaches and coastal areas of The Caribbean, Pacific and Atlantic oceans. The site is a blank canvas just waited for someone with the vision and ambition to transform it into a spectacular commercial or residential project.

This site not only offers a potentially comfortable, spacious, and modern place to live but also the chance to venture into the lucrative and ever-growing holiday rental market, in which Costa Rica is one of the fastest growing across the Americas. Siquirres is not only a wonderful area itself but is also a great base from which to discover the endless other fascinating places of Costa Rica such as the stunning capital, San Jose and the coastal areas of Limon.

For those wishing to venture a little further, Costa Rica is also an excellent base to discover limitless other wonderful cultures and countries such as Panama, Nicaragua, Mexico, USA, Ecuador, Colombia and Brazil.

Sport and leisure fans will not be disappointed either as the area is full of exciting and interesting walking, water sports and cycling areas. The area is also just a few miles away from the stunning Grand View Estates Waterfall.

The area is very well-connected transport wise both locally and internationally with Limon international Airport just over one hour away. This of course provides yet another plus point in the context of the holiday rental/commuter and residential markets.

ABOUT THE AREA

if marketing experts could draw up an ideal destination, Costa Rica might be it. The 'rich coast' has earned its name and stands apart from its Central American neighbours on the cutting edge of so many trends: surfing, farm-to-table restaurants, and sustainable tourism. Developing infrastructure is balanced by green energy such as wind and hydro. One of the world's most biodiverse countries, with half a million species - from insects to the giant anteaters that devour them - it also protects one-quarter of its wild lands through law.

Rainforest hikes and brisk high-altitude trails, rushing white-water rapids and warm-water, world-class surfing: Costa Rica offers a dizzying suite of outdoor adventures in every shape and size - from the squeal-inducing rush of a canopy zipline to a sun-dazed afternoon at the beach. National parks allow visitors to glimpse life in both rainforest and cloud forest, simmering volcanoes offer otherworldly vistas, and reliable surf breaks are suited to beginners and experts alike. Can't decide? Don't worry: given the country's size, you can plan a relatively short trip that includes it all.

Such wildlife abounds in Costa Rica as to seem almost cartoonish: keel-billed toucans ogle you from treetops and scarlet macaws raucously announce their flight plans. A keen eye will discern a sloth on a branch or the eyes of a caiman breaking the surface of a mangrove swamp, while alert ears will catch rustling leaves signalling a troop of white-faced capuchins or the haunting call of a howler monkey. Blue morpho butterflies flit amid orchid-festooned trees, while colorful tropical fish, sharks, rays, dolphins and whales thrive offshore - all as if in a conservationist's dream.

A recent study showed that many Costa Ricans live longer, healthier lives than people on the rest of the planet, and it all comes down to pura vida (pure life), a term you'll hear everywhere. Before you dismiss it as marketing banter (and it is a big marketing phrase), listen to how it's used. it means hello, goodbye, everything's cool, same to you. it never has a negative connotation. You may enter the country not believing it, but after a week you'll be saying it, too, unconsciously: pura vida, mae. Relax and enjoy the ride.

SiQUiRRES

The small town of Siquirres is located in one of the most accessible regions of Costa Rica - roads here are fairly manageable from San Jose and public transportation is frequent. The lowland town served as an important transportation hub for years as it sits at the intersection of Highway 32, which crosses the Atlantic slope into Puerto Limon, and Highway 10. From San Jose, it will take travellers about three to four hours driving to reach Siquirres.

Siquirres is often overlooked as a tourist destination, but if you're looking for something a bit off of the beaten traveller's path, this picturesque town will be perfect. Anyone looking to escape the common bustle of major hotspots such as Cartago and San Jose will enjoy this remote village.
