Overseas property buyers fall in love with Jet2.com

Overseas property owners will be pleased with the recent announcement by Jet2.com that it has six new routes to major European cities.

The new flights available from Manchester, England will commence in spring 2007 and are on sale now. The routes will complement the airline’s existing city destinations: Amsterdam, Budapest, London, Milan, Nice, Pisa, Rome and Valencia alongside a wide range of sun and ski destinations.
Jet2.com will increase its French portfolio three-fold with the introduction of two new routes in addition to its popular Nice service. Daily flights will be available to Paris from £21.99 and to Toulouse from £24.99.

Philip Meeson, CEO of Jet2.com said: “Where airlines such as BA have continued to disappoint the travelling public by pulling routes like they are going out of fashion, we will succeed where they have failed.  “We have more low cost fares than any other airline from Manchester and an unrivalled mix of city, sun and ski destinations. “Business, leisure and overseas property owners alike will be delighted with our news that they can travel to fantastic European cities on a budget”

The popularity of low cost airlines is demonstrated by web site traffic figures for the flight comparison web site Cheapflights.co.uk. Figures audited and released by ABCe show that in July 2006 figures for the site achieved 2.72 million unique users.

The love affair between low cost airlines and the overseas property industry is one that is set to continue, Nicholas Marr CEO of Marr International Ltd the company behind the overseas property web site Homesgofast.com states that “Overseas property buyers often take into consideration how accessible a region is before even considering it as suitable destination to buy property abroad. The presence of a low cost airline in a region may increase the desirability of a property and this can be reflected in the property price. Overseas property investors who seek to rent their homes to holiday makers will examine the time and cost of travel to the location. It makes sense that cheap flights to a region will increase the likelihood of the property being let and may even help push up rental income”.
