31/12/09– Robbie Williams has bought a property in Australia after it was top of the agenda for him and girlfriend Ayda Field. Reports  from the Australian Daily Telegraph suggest the star has opted for an outback retreat in the Northern Territories  at Daly Waters, 200km from Katherine.
The property will be ideal escape from the limelight with the location deep into the Australian outback with only a sparsely populated town as neighbours. He mentioned the move on Australia’s radio station 2DayFM, which is being guest-hosted by Dannii Minogue.
Williams was recently in Australia with Ayda Field, his girlfriend, who is from the US. He also has a London flat and a home in Los Angeles.
Meanwhile, he told a magazine he and Field have no plans to wed as yet. He said: ‘I’ve been going out with my missus for nearly three years, and solidly into the relationship for a year and a half. But I want [us] to play around and have more fun and not be grown-ups yet.’
The Australian housing market and economy bounced back from the global slow down at break neck speed  Double-digit increases in property prices over 2009 suggests that further interest rate rises may come sooner rather than later, an economist says.
Australian property prices have risen by 11.3 per cent over the first 11 months of 2009, according to the RP Data-Rismark national home value index.
RP Data research director Tim Lawless described 2009 as an “exceptional and surprising year for Australia’s property market”.
