Italian holiday homes early activity

Two companies specialising in renting holiday homes have reported a flurry of early activity in enquiries for holiday rentals next year.
Autumn is the season when next year’s prices are finalized and experience shows that it is sometimes the best time of year to book a holiday home in Italy, Spain, or the rest of Europe. has been in the business of renting apartments, villas, farmhouses, cottages, and castles since 1984.This year, however, is experiencing a boom in early-bookings — 50% over the same time last year.

“Don’t wait a moment longer than you have to,” says founder Suzanne Pidduck. “We’re busier than we’ve ever been. I recommend discussing travel plans with your family ASAP — if you get everyone involved, you can lower individual costs and do something as crazy as taking over a lavish Italian estate!

Suzanne isn’t kidding when she encourages potential travellers to finalize their plans now. Americans are no longer waiting until the last minute to make their travel plans; in fact, they’re booking earlier than ever. That means the most popular and well-located properties are going fast.

“I recommend starting about nine months to a year in advance,” Suzanne says. “You’ll get the best rental property selections, and you’ll give yourself plenty of time to search for airfare and arrange for transportation. Not to mention other goodies like wine tasting, bike rides, and cooking classes! Just remember: the early bird always gets the tastiest worm!” the holiday home company which was acquired by the Daily Mail & General Trust PLC earlier this year is promoted by a team of partners. One such partner is the overseas property website Nicholas Marr CEO of the property website reports a 20% increase in enquiries compared to last years figures. ‘We have experienced an increase in enquiries from those in search of a holiday home in Italy Spain and the rest of Europe. Many of the early birds booking holiday homes for next year are those wishing to rent the same plan ’
