The lure of a lush green golf course in sunny climate can help attract overseas property buyers and no doubt adds to value of any new property development. These marketing techniques can be seen from new Mexican property developments in the Yucatan Peninsula.
Those who are looking to the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico as a place for a holiday home or retirement villa have much to look forward to. In addition to the low costs and great weather are now some wonderful golf courses. Located primarily around Cancun, on the eastern edge of the region, there is also a very nice 18-hole course in Merida for those who have discovered the charms of this destination.
The Club de Golf de Yucatan is located on the Merida-Progresso highway and is an 18-hole course. The par 72 layout is 6,590 yards and offers a nice challenge for golfers of all abilities. In addition to the main course, there is an 18-hole miniature golf course, practice range, putting green and pro shop.
For those who want more to do than just play golf, the Club de Golf de Yucatan has plenty to offer. There are nine tennis courts with two of them lighted for nighttime play, a swimming pool, fitness center with exercise equipment and more. Of course, there is a restaurant and bar for those who want to relax after their round or workout, and there is even a children’s play area for the little ones.
If this great course doesn’t keep you satisfied, then there are several other courses not too far away in and around Cancun, Playa del Carmen and Campeche. All of these towns are within a couple hours drive of Merida and have golf courses to enjoy.
