Friends star buys $9 million New York apartment

After spending over $6 million on two New York apartments earlier in 2011, Friends star Jennifer Aniston has added another home to her portfolio.  The actress, most recently seen in the hit comedy Horrible Bosses, has bought a new apartment in the city for $9 million (£5.65 million).

The luxury 3 bedroom Manhattan apartment boasts 2,873 square feet of living space with great views over the city.  According to the Hollywood Reporter, the property has additional benefits such as room and butler service, membership to the David Barton gym and housekeeping services.

The American press have speculated that the property will be Aniston’s home with new boyfriend Justin Theroux, the Hollywood writer and star of 2011 comedy Your Highness.  The couple currently live in a $17,000 (£10,700) a month rental property in Los Angeles with Aniston having recently sold the Beverley Hills home that she bought in 2006.

The Friends star has been reported as saying her LA property was ‘too big for a single woman’.

Aniston buys third New York property in a matter of months

The property is the third real estate purchase for Aniston in 2011.  She bought two penthouse apartments in New York earlier in 2011 for just over $6 million (£3.77 million) with the intention of converting them into one large home.

American bloggers have reported that Aniston has called on the services of a feng shui expert in order that her new Manhattan home is conducive to fertility, sparking off rumours that the couple are planning a family.

There is also said to be a nursery at the New York apartment fuelling the speculation about Aniston and Theroux’s baby plans.
