Buying a home is probably the largest and most expensive purchase you will ever make, and with property prices rising at a somewhat alarming rate, this is unlikely to change anytime soon. Newspapers are constantly filled with stories about extortionate house prices (especially in London) and we are consistently reminded that future generations will have an even tougher time stepping up onto the property ladder.
