Amenities to Include in Your Vacation Rental

Staying in a vacation rental is a different experience than staying in a hotel, but people expect some of the same amenities, if not more. To make your vacation rental the place to stay, upgrade your amenities and include them in your marketing pitch to find renters.

Kitchen

One of the greatest perks of staying in a vacation rental is the kitchen. It makes vacations more budget-friendly when you can cook your meals instead of eating out. Make sure your kitchen is stocked with the supplies your visitors might need to cook a meal.

       ●       Coffee & Coffee Maker

As a morning essential for many, make sure your rental is equipped with a coffee maker and coffee.

       ●       Dishes & Utensils

It’s hard to eat without dishes and cutlery, make sure you have enough place settings to account for your maximum number of guests. You might also have a collection of plastic plates and utensils for children.

       ●       Cookware

Just as it is hard to eat without dishes, it’s hard to cook without cookware. Make sure your guests have everything they need to make a meal, like pots, pans, spatulas, and more.

       ●       Toaster

Toasters are a nice appliance to have, plus they make on-the-go breakfasts quick and easy for your guests.

       ●       Cleaning Supplies

If your guests are staying for a while, chances are they’ll want a way to clean up after themselves. Be sure to include dish soap, soap, sponges, disinfectant wipes, a broom, and mop for them to use.

       ●       High Chair

If your guests have a young child, it might be helpful for them if you provide a high-chair and other amenities that would make traveling easier for them. The reviews will be worth the extra money.

Bathroom

Something many guests are used to is the free shampoo, conditioner, and soap they can get at a hotel. Having similar amenities in the bathrooms of your vacation rental will help make your guests feel comfortable.

       ●        Shampoo & Conditioner

If you can’t afford miniature bottles, consider installing a dispenser for shampoo and conditioner in your shower.

       ●       Bath Towels

Traveling with towels adds unnecessary bulk. Make your guests stay easier for them by providing a towel for each guest.

       ●       Laundry

Something that appeals to many vacationers is laundry. Having a washer and dryer just might help you find more guests.

Bedroom

The bedroom should be the most comforting room in the house. Help your guests have a place to relax by having quality bedding, nightstands, and hangers for them. You can even go as far as to provide sleep masks and earplugs to help them have a nice full night of sleep.

Extra

Some extra things you might consider adding to your vacation rental are:

       ●       WiFi

       ●       Television

       ●       Air Conditioning

       ●       Parking Space

These amenities help your guests feel at home and help them wind down when they aren’t out and about visiting the area. If you don’t want to pay for cable, consider using a smart television and providing a streaming service like Netflix or Hulu.

As you prepare your vacation rental for guests, consider what amenities you’d like to have when you travel. Marketing your amenities will help your guests see what you have to offer, making them more likely to choose your vacation rental for their next trip.
