Overseas Property Industry in the Dragons Den

Overseas property agents and real estate developers will have access to a team member of the Dragons Den in a forum arranged by the UK’s National Association of Estate Agents. The event that takes place on October 9th 2008 and will feature multi millionaire James Caan and the US property expert Michael Saunders

The BBC Dragons Den programme success is seen in part owing the personalities involved in the den that can brutally shatter dreams of success. Dragons' Den returned to screens this summer for a sixth series. Entrepreneurs pitch for investment in the Den from the millionaire Dragons, five venture capitalists willing to invest their own money in exchange for equity.

The first series of Dragons' Den was transmitted on BBC2 in January 2005 and returned in July 2008 for a sixth series. The show follows an international format, and was first launched in Japan.

James Caan has been creating, building and selling businesses for over 20 years. In 1985, he set up the Alexander Mann Group, one of the UK's leading HR outsourcing companies, and achieved a turnover of £130m before selling it to a private equity firm in 2002.

Mr Caan will be on hand to offer advice to delegates at the international real estate forum "Staying Profitable in a Challenging Market", the event is latest in a series of overseas property forums organised by the National Association of Estate Agents

US property expert Michael Saunders will also be on hand, he established his real estate business in 1976 from humble office in Florida where the business was devoted to marketing luxury waterfront properties. It has now grown to 16 real estate offices with more than 400 associates.

Linda Travella, of the NAEA, said: "We're very excited about the forum, which we have packed full of vital information about the international market place. It is a fantastic opportunity to learn the latest industry news and get up to speed with market trends as well as get hints and tips from the experts."
