Holetown Barbados Offers Investors a Bit of Everything

Barbados’ second largest city is Holetown, located on the popular west coast of the island. This town is known for its beautiful scenery, scuba diving and snorkeling and the celebrities that vacation here every year. This area is also popular for its vibrant nightlife, so there is something for everyone here. As the summer holiday season winds down, now is the time to start looking for your Barbados retreat in this popular destination.

With all the great restaurants, cafes, bars and nightclubs, it’s no wonder many celebs decide to pay a visit to Holetown. The island’s traditional Bajan cuisine is quite popular, but you can find just about every taste you desire, from Chinese to Italian to fast food. Hugh Grant is known to visit, as are the Beckhams, and former Prime Minister Tony Blair while Oprah Winfrey is said to have one of her many houses nearby.

The city hosts the colorful Holetown Festival every year in February, with the opening ceremony at the Holetown Monument. The week-long festival highlights the Barbadian arts, traditions and culture and the events include historical lectures, exhibitions, concerts as well as sporting events. It also provides a great island escape from winter in the northern hemisphere.

Water sports are a big attraction here, with great snorkeling and diving. The west side of the island doesn’t have the big waves of the east side, so the water is perfect for exploring the reefs and sea life that abound. Also popular are paragliding and jet skiing, and those who want to surf can head to the other side of the island for some great waves.

Beach View is an exciting new condo hotel set on 3 acres located on Barbados famed West Coast, just a few minutes away from Holetown. This exclusive property has 2 bedroom units available for US $625,000. The views of the sparkling blue Caribbean are great from the terraces of each unit, and the beach is just a few minutes walk. This is a great opportunity for investors looking for a place on Barbados’ West Coast, near the popular destination of Holetown.
