Flight News For Cape Verde & Brazilian Property Investors

The national airline of Cape Verde Islands, TACV Cabo Verde Airlines, is looking to increase its flights to Brazil with the coming of the holiday season, according to reports in Afrol News. TACV currently offers weekly flights every Friday into Fortaleza in the northeast Brazilian state of Ceara. These flights originate in Praia, Cape Verde Islands, with connections to Lisbon. The airline plans to increase that to twice weekly and add a new flight with a final destination of Recife or Belem. Emirates Airlines recently started nonstop service to Brazil from Dubai, and with TACV increasing its flights to Brazil travelers will have more options than ever. Increasingly, this largest of South American countries is becoming an international destination for vacationers and those looking for a second home. The northern and northeast coasts of Brazil, where all three of these cities are located, have long been popular destinations for Brazilian travelers. In recent years, more and more international visitors have been coming to these cities from all over the world.

Cape Verde is a former Portuguese colony, like Brazil, so there is a natural connection and language between the two countries. With connecting flights to Lisbon and other European cities, this is one of the more popular stops on the way and from Brazil. TACV notes that the occupation rate on its weekly Praia-Fortaleza route is 98%, so there is clearly a demand for seats. Flying its Boeing 757 airplanes, TACV will have a weekly capacity on its two flights to Fortaleza of 420 passengers.
