February 2007 seems to be a good month to buy, sell and search for luxury real estate in Los Angeles especially if you are a British Celebrity. Posh Spice has been in search of her dream home in Los Angeles California whilst singer Tom Jones sold his luxury Bel- Air home to a Spanish designer.

Early February saw Victoria Beckham house hunting in Los Angeles in the city's smartest neighbourhoods. Los Angeles is synonymous with "City of Angels" and is regarded by many as the entertainment capital of the world attracting ‘A’ list stars to its real estate. Posh Spice was seen to view a white £1.7million villa in a neo-classical style with a pair of lions gracing the entrance and palm trees in the front garden. The luxury home in LA had five bedrooms and five bathrooms - and a pool. The celebrity couple reportedly saw 20 homes during their last trip and are now looking at properties in the $18-30 million (£9-15 million) range in Los Angeles' Westside. It is rumoured that the couples search for a home is proving difficult because she is conscious of the inflated Hollywood house prices

David and Victoria Beckham have reportedly approached pop star Madonna about buying her Beverly Hills compound The Beckhams' agent, Barry Peele of Sotheby's International Realty, refused to comment on reports the couple have spoken to Madonna about buying her property, saying he had signed "a lengthy confidentiality agreement".

Another British celebrity living in the US and involved in real estate is Tom Jones. The Welsh born singer sold his Bel-Air house for $4.25 million to Spanish designers Miguel Rueda and Mario Ruiz. The four-bedroom home is on a 2.5-acre promontory with canyon, city and mountain views. Perks include a black-bottom swimming pool and a gated motor court with parking for 10 cars. Jones also owns another home in the area, as well as numerous homes in the UK.

Top US celebrities involved in luxury real estate include Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie who recently bought a house near the French Quarter in New Orleans records show it was purchased for $3.5 million in cash on Jan. 2.
