$100 million investment in Brazil property

Overseas property investors and investment consortiums have seen the light and are heading for Brazil real estate. Property investors who need to see others investing in the region before they part with their cash will be impressed by a private equity firm who have put their money on Brazil. The Brazilian economy stands to benefit from an investment worth USD $100 million from Brazilian private equity firm GP Investments who have created a property investment vehicle with BR Properties.

BR Properties is made up of Lehman Brothers Real Estate Partners, Sandell Asset Management, Tudor Group, Banco Safra, Talisman Special Purpose Fund, the Peter Malkin Family and Belfer Management. The purpose of the group is to benefit from the up turn in the Brazilian economy which has also sparked new interest from overseas property investors.

Brazil has become an attractive place to invest with increasing direct foreign investment, effective inflation control, stable currency and a property market which is under valued.
