A Place in The Sun Selling Overseas Property

UK Channel 4 s A Place in Sun has joined other UK based overseas property portals such as Homesgofast.com and Property-Abroad.com in offering sellers the chance to promote their overseas property online.

 

Channel 4 is launching a classifieds portal for overseas property on the back of its series A Place in the Sun.

 

The venture sees Channel 4 teaming up with publishing and exhibition company Brooklands Group for the portal, which will feature a database of overseas properties and geographical map-based search technology.Aplaceinthesun.com will feature listings, market news and practical guides to purchasing and financing overseas properties.  

 

Paul Whitehead, head of corporate and business development at Channel 4, said, "This is Channel 4's first entry into the rapidly growing space of online classified advertising and a great example of the channel working with programme brands, production companies and partners to explore new business models and ways of working in the digital landscape."

 

Channel 4 and Brooklands Group already work together on the A Place in the Sun magazine and exhibition.

 

 The new venture will feature houses for sale around the globe and offer resources for people looking to buy a home or investment property abroad. The site will also offer overseas property market news, practical guides to buying and financing, as well as country-specific information and discussion forums.

The property database will feature a multiple-layer search tool, including geographical map-based search technology.
