NUNO BRANDAO COSTA

An important architect Nuno Brandao Costa work spans across public and private buildings here is a summary of his professional activities:

Graduated in Architecture by the Porto University School of Architecture in 1994.

Assistant Professor at the Porto University School of Architecture since 1999.

Collaborator of Herzog & de Meuron, in Basel, Switzerland, between 1991 and 1993 and with the architects José Fernando Gonçalves & Paulo Providencia in Porto between 1993 and 1998.

He started working as an self-employed architect in 1998, since which time he has authored several projects for private and public entities,

PRIZES

Merit and Revelation Prize Expresso / SIC – 12 years, November 2004

1st Prize in the public invitation to tender for Ramalde Market in Porto (co-authored with João Paulo Loureiro)

2nd Prize in the international invitation to tender for the Portuguese Chancellery and Embassy in Berlin

1st Prize in the international invitation to tender for the New University of Lisbon’s School of Social Sciences and Human Studies Central Library

2nd Prize in the public invitation to tender for the Coimbra University Health Sciences Library

1st Prize in the public invitation to tender for the new buildings of the Porto University School of Languages, 2nd Prize in the invitation to tender for the new Northern Division headquarters of the Architect Society
